About Us

· The YBC is located at the Southampton Tenpin Ltd, which has 36 lanes.

 

· A large Open Plan Bar, Dining facilities and Games Areas.

 

· The YBC was formed in 1993.

 

· Current Membership is 25 children aged between 5 and 18 years.

 

· Clubmark Accredited - Certificate

 

· This includes children, both Boys & Girls, of mixed abilities including those requiring some Special Needs.

 

· The YBC has currently several fully qualified, licensed and CRB checked Instructors and a full Committee. All are covered by the Club’s Public Liability insurance.

 

· Additional coaching can be provided after YBC subject to availability of Coaches.

 

· Most Saturday morning League Bowling from 09.00 a.m. to 11:00.

 

· The Club participates in NAYBC Competitions at Venues around the Country.  BTBA/NAYBC Award Badges given once achieved in Sanctioned League or Sanctioned competition play.

 

· A number of children have consistently qualified to play for Hampshire. Six have qualified for 2010 County championship squads.

 

· Several Bowlers have attended the NAYBC (National Association of Youth Bowling Clubs) Academy. These bowlers are receiving specialised coaching and could go on to represent England in the future.
